The City is one of nine area municipalities located within the Regional Municipality of York with a population of over 335,000. The City employs approximately 3,000 staff, providing a wide range of services to its citizens. These services include fire protection, public works, water and wastewater management, parks and recreation, building, development planning, and corporate administration.
